RE: APOLLO 1/2 TIME MICROWAVE

Went by instruction manual to set clock like you asked. No response,dots are lit and the light comes on when you open the door, thats it. Any thoughts now?

APOLLO 1/2 TIME MICROWAVE

I know this is vague and could be any one of numerous problems, but maybe one of you has had the same thing. I have a Apollo over-the-range microwave. It has power because the two clock 'dots' are lit and the inside light works. Beyond that nothing works. Did not quit working while in use, tt had set for over a month and next time out, nothing. I can't seem to see how you can get into it without taking it out. I's built in and looks like a bear to remove. any info would be appreciated.

RE: Welcome little Jake!

Your little Jake sounds adorable. We have a 9 month Maltese/Shi Tzu mix and she is so cute. I can't tell you how to raise a Maltese other than pretty much like any other dog.
We still haven't got Daisy Mae house broken but we're still working on it. Vet said it could take a year for these little pups. Quite seriously, Daisy Mae is not the smartest dog I have owned but we really don't care. Our little Schnauzer, Dixie Dew, is too smart enough for both of them.
The only advice I can give you is to be sure to brush him daily and keep his coat well conditioned. When my dad was in intensive care for two weeks, we neglected Daisy Mae's brushings. It was a lot of work to get the knots out. It was really hard on her.
I went to the ethnic isle in Wally World and bought a thick conditioning cream that comes in a jar. It is cholesterol based and priced very reasonably. It seems to condition her coat beautifully and helps keep out the knots. If you want the name, PM me.

It is so sad and difficult to see one of out babies sick. Keep us posted.

RE: AAAAaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh.......Update

Just to be clear, Daisy Mae did well on the tether---I am the klutz of the family. She is now 7 mos and fairly well trained. She slipped a bit when my father was in intensive care for two weeks but she seems to be getting back on schedule now that we only visit two or three time a week. Yes, she will slip off and piddle on ocassion. With Daisy, most of the success really comes from keeping a schedule.
Daisy was an attack puppy too. I was bitten so many times. I would hold her down and give her a sharp 'NO'. She mellowed out after a few weeks...now she is a somewhat timid little girl. Maybe your little Chi will calm down soon.
I will bet she is going to be a "Daddy's Girl" too.

RE: Puppy with portal shunt

A sick pet stresses the family as much as a sick child. If it helps you to talk to us here, you have many people willing to offer encouragement, and were are more than willing to just listen. I know if I were about to loose one of my fur-babies and there was a surgery available but I couldn't afford the cost--I would be devastated.
Keep us posted.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Richard, from your last post it seems that you have distanced yourself from the building of the shelter. I was away for such a long time, I think I may have missed quite a bit. It seams that situations can change very quickly here.

RE: AAAAaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh.......Update

Perhaps a little leash training is in order for whomever abused that little dog to the point she did not want to be picked up and cuddled.
We have given our dogs "the last bite" from our plates forever...they act like that is the highpoint of their day. A bite--not dinner!!!
I have never had a problem with retractable leashes and that's all we have ever used. If we're in a 'tight situation', we pull them in short. If everybody is happy, loosen them and let them run loop-de-loop's.
I tried that leash training with Daisy Mae, tripped on the leash several times, stepped on the dog a couple of times, then switched to the watch, grab, and throw her out the back door method.
Now, Susan, don't worry about them spoiling that pup. I just can't imagine why anyone would want to spoil a sweet little scared baby dog.

RE: Puppy with portal shunt

I think you are thinking about Old Fella when some of us sent funds to the vet to help relieve some of the cost of his initial medical treatment.
Contact RV Snowbird about how to properly handle donation requests on this forum. If not done properly, this thread could be closed.
I would be glad to help out a little.

RE: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}

Get ready, Miss Mary, my little family is going to Branson!!!. Gotta get the reservations, etc.
I hope it is a bit cooler than at 4-Paws because my 'joie de vive' goes 'kaput' at 100+. Wiener roasts and campfire songs are so not on my list in that weather.
Just in case you guys didn't know, mistressofdistress gave me a beautiful birthday cake last year. She is a dear, sweet lady.
I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting more old friends.
